Vedder is director of the Center of College Affordability and Productivity, a visiting scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and distinguished professor of economics at Ohio University. He is the author of Going Broke by Degree: Why College Costs Too Much (AEI Press, 2004). He recently served on the Secretary of Education's National Commission on the Future of Higher Education.
